About the Author Cornelia Homburg studied art history in Germany, the US, and the Netherlands, receiving her MA from the University of Chicago and her PhD from the University of Amsterdam. In 1994 she became Curator at the Washington University Gallery of Art in St. Louis, MO, and three years later the Saint Louis Art Museum appointed her Curator of 19th and 20th Century Painting and Sculpture. Since 2003 she has worked as an independent art historian. She lives in France. Read more
